Abstract
This program will address mediation theory, policy, and training. It will examine mediation from a domestic and international outlook to provide an understanding of the universal value of mediation across the spectrum of potential disputes whether commercial, family, or family business matters. The goal is to advance a fuller understanding of the mediation process from an academic and practitioner viewpoint, including providing techniques and practical advice along with insight into the latest academic research in the field.
The Panel will discuss how mediation is currently being utilized in Hungary, the U.S. and internationally to support and expand domestic and international business growth, how it facilitates a resolution of pending litigation within the judicial system, and how it can be used to prevent conflict going forward.
The program shall offer valuable insight for professional mediators, lawyers, academicians, students and the business community that resolving conflict through self-determination facilitates growth and prevents conflict. Such knowledge can form the basis of providing invaluable service to clients.
The program will conclude with a mediation simulation designed to provide the audience with advanced mediation techniques and skills, with a question and answer period to follow.
